Terms of Use

These terms govern use of W.E.T. public pages, accounts, APIs, MCP tools, and published records. By using those services, you agree to use them lawfully and within the boundaries stated here.

Service operator

World Event Trading (W.E.T.) is an unregistered brand operated by Jordan V Powell, a sole proprietor in Virginia. Corbin V King is the operator's public and editorial name. References to W.E.T. on this page mean the service operated under that brand; they do not identify a separate LLC or corporation.

1. Informational service, not execution

W.E.T. publishes indexes, market-derived measurements, event navigation, research, and software interfaces. It is not an exchange, broker, FCM, DCM, investment adviser, or custodian. W.E.T. does not accept, route, match, execute, or hold orders or funds. Nothing on the service is individualized financial, legal, tax, or trading advice.

2. Accounts and credentials

You are responsible for access to your email account, active sessions, and API keys. Keep credentials secret, use only the scopes your workflow needs, and revoke a key you believe is exposed. You may not access another person's account, evade rate limits, probe for credential validity, or misrepresent your authorization.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use W.E.T. to break applicable law; disrupt or overload the service; introduce malicious code; scrape in a way that ignores published controls; remove provenance or attribution; falsely present grouped contracts as equivalent; or imply that W.E.T. endorses, operates, or guarantees a third-party venue. Automated access must respect the documented transport, scope, quota, and error semantics.

4. Data, attribution, and intellectual property

The site and software are proprietary and all rights are reserved except where a published licence says otherwise. Published W.E.T. benchmark methodology and values may be quoted with the required attribution and as-of date under the data licence. That permission does not automatically grant commercial redistribution rights to third-party venue data, trademarks, feeds, or news content.

5. Third-party venues and links

Venue names, rules, prices, availability, and eligibility are controlled by their owners. An outbound or affiliate link is not an endorsement, execution instruction, or guarantee that a venue is lawful or available in your jurisdiction. Affiliate economics never determine index composition, methodology, board order, or whether a better rival price is shown.

6. Availability and accuracy

Sources can be delayed, incomplete, stale, rate-limited, corrected, or unavailable. Identity can be refused. W.E.T. does not promise exhaustive coverage, uninterrupted service, an uptime percentage, a response-time SLA, or fitness for a particular trading decision. Published benchmark corrections follow the public restatement policy rather than silently replacing an old record.

7. Suspension, changes, and contact

W.E.T. may limit or suspend access needed to protect the service, users, sources, or legal obligations. Material changes to these terms will be dated on this page; benchmark-governance changes follow their separate public process. Questions about these terms may be sent to legal@worldeventtrading.com.
